Religions believe that there is either only one God or at least one supreme God.

Is this God the same being regardless of the names he is called, or do the names signify diffferent deities?

If they are different beings then surely the true universal God trumps all the others. Isn't it safer just to beleive in God rather than the Jehovah of the Judeao-Christian Religions, the Allah of Islam, the Ahura Mazda of the Zoroastrians or the Brahman of Hinduism?
