Interesting Situation: Will he be lying or telling the truth?

The man witness puts his right hand on the bible.

"Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth?" The man holding the bible asks.

"Yes" Says the man swearing to the dear oh holy god.

Then a lawyer comes up and asks, "Would you ever lie to defend a friend?"

And the man answers, "...I swore to god and the bible that I would tell the truth... so yes I would lie to defend a friend."

From then on, questions that are asked, would you expect the answers to be true, or lies??

lies if about friends, becuse he said he would lie so if he doesn't it would make it a lie!. so yes

if the questions aren't about his friend then no!. so no

i wouldn't expect answers concerning any friends of his to be honest, but everything else should be, just cuz he was honest from the start, but i'm no lawyer.
