iPhone 3G Unlocking???? 10 Points for Best Answer!!?

I am selling my iPhone 3G on eBay and I want to make sure it is unlocked for all GSM carriers before I sell it. My question is, if I take out my SIM card and add another GSM network's SIM card will the phone work??? If it won't, how do I unlock it?

Actually I have a little knowledge about that if you have unlocked you Iphone 3g then its unlocked for all GSM networks because you have made changes in phone not in sim card so i think it work with all GSM networks.
