Will I be at risk if i smoke 1 cigarette. and dont do it again?

A friend of mine from work is 18, and started smoking, not alot, but i guess it doesnt really matter, what does matter is that i have come into possesion of 5 cigarettes and i am curious. Will i have any health risks, if so what are they. If i just smoke 1 cigarette and then dont do it again.

One cigarette wont hurt YOU but it will damage your lungs some. each cigarette you smoke is bad for you and even though you may just be smoking one, it can lead up to more and hurt you. my advice. dont do it.

trust me the only way you can become addicted to cigarettes is if you keep trying to become addicted to them. you have to make yourself like the taste. it's nasty nasty nasty. and honestly if you try you probably won't ever want to try again. it burns the hairs in your lungs and it hurts! not to mention it stinks.

cigarettes aren't like heroin....like once you take a hit you're always going to be addicted.

It probably won't do you any harm but why would you do it? There are no benefits to smoking and a lot of negatives so to smoke a cigarette, even out of curiosity seems silly. They don't taste especially nice anyway so having a drag of one will probably not make you want to smoke any more!

    Don't do it!!!

You arent going to live forever, so stop trying.
No, there are no risks, addiction to it wont happen for a while after that, but if you are able to get them, why not start. Its not an evil thing.
