    This is just saying that it tried downloading that amount of data, but was unable to complete it for any number of reasons. It does not effect what you are downloading, but the more hashfails you have, the longer your download will take.

    when downloading a file with bittorrent what does wasted(hashfails) mean ?

    im downloading a file and it says Wasted: 77.0kb(0hashfails)
    if anyone know what this is plz tell me

    hashfail

    means that an amount of your files may have been corrupted in transfer, or didn't load right. the file is re-requested automatically. it doesn't affect what your getting, it just makes the getting go slower. remember to virus scan all the goods before downloadinbg them into your computer, just to be safe.
