Ok, first, what is the optimum time frame for breeding a mare? Like what ages?
Second, does this sound like a good plan to you?
I want to breed knabstruppers for a living some day (I'm not even out of hs yet). I found a purebred 4 year old knabstrupper mare and I really like her. I hope to buy her but its not for sure. If I get her, I plan on breeding her-I even have the stud picked out! I am also going to train her to be an event horse. Hopefully her foal will be a boy and if it is, I will take him to the stallion inspection and he will be the founding sire of my farm. Does this sound like a good plan?
