Flash drives, external drives, etc. appear as write-protected and I cannot transfer any data out from my computer. I can download, but not upload. Is there some type of security activated on my computer I don't know about? It is a Toshiba Satellite A105-S2021 with XP Home 32

All USB gadgets appear as write protected & I can't transfer data. Can anyone help?
