Can I use my Blackberry Bold(AT&T) in Fiji?

I live in the U.S. and I am going to Fiji for a month. I NEED to sms text or mms text while i'm there. Do I need to buy some sort of world sim card from AT&T here in the U.S. or can I just text in Fiji without buying anything? PLEASE help I am leaving in a 5 days and idk what to do!
