    Activating Telus phone online?

    I am trying to activate my Pay as you Go Telus phone online right now. This message shows up when I try to activate the Phone:

    We're enhancing our online services to serve you better

    The specified application is currently unavailable...

    We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

    Has anyone had this happen to them? How long do I have to wait until i can activate teh phone. I dont want to activate it by phone because that costs 35$ instead of 10$.... Do you think if i called and said the site isnt working wil they just charge be 10 still doing it by phone since the site isnt working?

    They might even do it for free since the site is malfunctioning. Just ask nicely when you call to tell them that you found this 'frustrating'.

    It could also be that telus is beta testing there GSM Network i have a iphone and its been popping up with Rogers and a 302880 for carriers

    What the hell does that have to do with an online activation? Also, the new telus network is hspa NOT gsm. 2 different technologies.

    Very true. As far as possible beta testing goes, it may be Globalive (Yak) setting up their new GSM network since they were one of the winners in the spectrum bid.

    The new TELUS HSPA devices will use a 'sim' like card but it will be as different as iden is to gsm.
    TELUS... The Future IS Friendly, just not yet.
