Cannot Unlock 3 australia Motorola V3xx even with code.?

I was given an unlock code by 3 Australia but when I put in a Non-3 sim card in, I got a message "Contact Operator". The handset was locked and I cannot typed in anything. I took it to a 3 Australia outlet but they said that this model cannot be unlock becos it was fixed to work on 3 Australia. I find it hard to believe that this is true. Is there anybody who can do it. I have the unlock code. Appreciate any good news. Thanks.

Your mobile is locked to 3 network..Before using the other country network, you have to unlock your mobile..If you have the code, you may follow the instructions here,
1 - Switch ON your Motorola V3XX with a NOT ACCEPTED SIM Card,
2 - Phone will display "Enter Special Code",
3 - You can now enter the Unlock Code.

NOT ACCEPTED: We mean, to use a sim card from a network other than the network your Motorola V3XX is locked to.

WARNING: If one of theses messages appear :

- "Contact Service Provider"
- "Tampert Alter"
- "Wait before enter special Code"
- "Contact Service'

It's because you or somebody already entered too many wrong codes, you just have to leave the Motorola V3XX ON with the errors message and after 40 minutes to 2 hours the message "Enter Code Special" will appear again!
