whats the different between a dvd player and a blueray player?

standard DVD format is 480 i or 480p Bluray is 1080 P High defintion for the new TVs

blu ray is HD it will still play normal dvd's though

but a normal dvd play will not play blu ray

Blueray plays better pictures and only play blueray dvds and the normal dvd player well there picture is okay but bluerays is betters.

Another difference is that on DVD, you would have to press the menu button to interrupt the movie that was playing to reach the main menu.
On Blu-Ray, it has a pop-up menu that appears on the bottom of the screen. This allows the movie to continue playing while you search through the menu.
