Make cigarettes Illegal?

Yeah cigarettes should be illegal because they don't do any good for anyone....They are disgusting for everyone that comes in contact with them and people who smoke always STINK!

I think they should be against the law. They have already begun smoking bans ... and it is estimated that Canada will have it outlawed in the future.

But until the link between smoking and lung cancer is proven, it will be legal to sell them.

As much as I hate the tobacco companies I don't think the government has the right to fine or imprison someone for harming their own body. We already have too many stupid laws. The gov needs to but out. I wouldn't mind spending a few pennies a year from my taxes for a public awareness campaign on the truth about tobacco. Second hand smoke is different. Nobody has the right to endanger innocent people with their smoke.

No, its my right to smoke. I dont lose work, or cost taxpayers moeny cause I smoke, I actually add money to the goverment coffers, so the others can get welfare, and WIC and food stamps.
What about alchol? it kills thousands a year, and messes up families too. Just because one doesnt like it, it shouldnt be made illegal.
Hey I hate chocolate cake, it can cause obesity, maybe even acne. there for its unhealthy and should be banned....

I think it should be made illegal because it isn't bad only for the ones smoking, it's not healthy for the others around too which means that you'd be prejudicing someone else's health, not only yours.
