Many people live in rural areas and running 40 miles of Cable is just not cost effective for 20 accounts. Everybody who lives on my road has DirecTV or Dish Network.
If you want high speed internet (like I do) you have to use Hughes Net Satellite.
I don't live in a Desert, I live in the Mountains.
My In-Laws could have Cable as they live within city limits but they prefer the superior HDTV that DirecTV offers.
