Does Taco Bell do a pre-employment drug-test?

A friend of mine is going to be interviewed for a Taco Bell position in a couple of days. Unfortunately, last night he went to a big party and made a mistake or two. PLUS he has a record of possession of marijuana that he admitted to/wrote on the application, yet they've decided to give him a try. Does anyone know if they will do a pre-employment drug test? Thanks for any help in advance.

They should have told him up-front about the testing or it should have been listed on the application. Since he won't be in a public service job (e.g., police, fireman, etc) or entering the military or working for any government entity, I highly doubt they will test him for drugs. It's expensive, and the possibility is high for a lawsuit if the chain of custody is compromised or the lab makes a mistake. However, if he becomes a delivery driver, then he probably will have to take a drug test.
