I just got my LG Xenon today, and I have 97 text messages in my inbox, and it's already starting to say 98% full. So I'm guessing a 100 text messages? =(
I really hate deleting my texts, and my old phone (AT&T tilt) had 4000 texts in the inbox, and just as many in the outbox, but it never said memory full or anything.
And no, it simply says 1 new text message. It doesn't say the name.
you must set it to say the name of the person when they text you. and it does not just let you hold 100. it holds however many texts your memory card holds
this is incorrect... so far you cannot set the phone to hold texts on the micro SD card, only the sim card. This will effect how many contacts you will be able to have. And I think the number of texts it will hold on the phone memory is around 150

Ok! I just saw on another board --because i was having the SAME problem-- that you need to check your OUTBOX. I know, I know, it says zero, but it's lying. When you actually open it, it's got every message you've sent. It can hold about 150-180 depending on the SIZE of the text messages. Long texts vs shorts texts can increase the size of the text making the phone hold less. And because of the display where it shows both your texts and the replies at the same time, deleting what's in your outbox is essentially the same as deleting part of your inbox, although it does free up some room for some more incoming texts. If you text a lot and like to save your text messages, this really isn't the phone for you (neither is the impression).
by outbox, i assume you mean "sent", cause once a message is sent, it goes out of the outbox and goes in the sent.
i also hate this limit. and i got the "who called" option which is the most retarded option: i get an sms everytime i get a missed call which tells me the phone number of the missed call... without the name, whereas i already know who missed called me.
