does the verizon wireless rebate card need activation?

i tried buying something online, and the card wouldnt go through...do i need to activate it?

What is this with letting you have a choice of how you use your rebate card and then can't find a way to get it done. I tried to activate the card and got no where with it....I wanted it to go to the Bank Transfer and could find not one of your listings to take me to where I could make the transition. I called the Verizon # and didn't get a choice to get into the options. What is going on here? I s all your tech people so out of touch with the public that they cannot find a site on Verizon simple enough to satisfy a coustomer?
