I tried it. I only did it for a month though. Beginning I was 5'3 & 142lbs.....after a month I was 146lbs. I am assuming that is because of muscle weight gain, because I was dieting & eating healthy. But honestly, I felt like I was getting "man arms". I didn't want to be manly muscular. I want to tone up, but not get huge, so I stopped & went to Turbo Jam instead & like it much better. BUT my husband is in the military & is 3 weeks away from completing the program. He is looking much more muscular. He did initially gain weight (like I did), but has since gone from 205 to 189lbs since then (he is 6'2).

I would reccommend it if you want to gain muscle. I just didn't like the "muscular man-body" I felt like I was getting.

***PLEASE, only answer if you have trained with the P90X fitness program.?

I was thinking of trying this fitness plan I saw advertised on TV http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do?code=GOOGLE_SEMB_P90X&gclid=CK2YnMWm8ZkCFS bxDAodvWn6QQ&ef_id=1908:3:s_32545c9892e22acb52743b adcf473685_3336511693:aKkJV9BkAk8AAD5UCB8AAAAL:200 90414212105
It looks pretty legit to me, especially since they aren't trying to make it look like its easy because we all know easy doesn't get results.
The reason I want to get in shape is that I'm turning 21 in a few months and have gained close to 40 pounds since high school, I'm feeling very out of shape for my age and also have dreams of being a police officer so I obviously need to shape up.
No opinion based "answers" please. Only answer if you have actually done this workout or know someone who has since I want to make sure it's good before buying it.

    Thanks guys wish me luck
