Is hookah worse than cigarettes?

I thought cigarettes would be worse because of all the chemicals. But the other day I heard that hookah was worse. So which one is it?

hookah is better since there is such a low percent of nicotine and lower levels of chemicals but because when you smoke hookah the bowl lasts so long you are smoking way more than a cigarette making it actually worse.
