torrent help 10 points?

Ok so i want to watch The L Word season ONE, so the best way thats free for me is a torrent so i go to ISOHUNT and download it right but idk what to do from there because all it gives me is a file and i try to convert it with DIVX but it wont work. do i need to do anything before i try to convert it? please help step by step please and thank you :]

What kind of file has been given to you? The .AVI or .Torrent?

Bittorrents website should have a file, they generally come with instructions, DIVX converting is more complicated than it needs to be. Most torrents are much simpler, especially since you're just downloading a movie stream, which I don't think needs to be burned or mounted. What exactly is the problem right now? You can't convert it to DIVX?

EDIT: Do you actually have a torrent downloaded? That could be your problem

1. Download BitTorrent, or Utorrent Software free from the internet
2. Download the torrent/file you want to download
3. open it in the BitTorrent or Utorrent software you downloaded

4. Let it download

If it's a .torrent file, you'll need a torrent software like µTorrent or Vuze or BitComet. From there, you'll need to open the .torrent file, and wait. This is when the torrent is actually downloading the video file. Once it's all downloaded, you can open it in the media player of your choice (as long it supports the video file format) and watch it.

did u just download the torrent file from the website? Did u also download the actual file in a bit-torrent client after downloading that little torrent file? like Utorrent and azeurus n other applications?
After you download the torrent file from the website, you need to use that file in a bittorrent client/software/application. google utorrent. i use that. when you installled Utorrent and run it, drag that L word season one torrent file to the progam. and yea pretty simple after that. But make sure before draging you have the options/preferences sorted out in that program. like you speed and where you want your completed downloads to go. hope that helps. .... or just go to the utorrent website. They have steps there as well....
