i have a pioneer n3 i need help with my ipod hook up. i get sound but no video.?

i hooked the audio video connects to the brain along with the power and ground. i only get sound. i tried different settings,etc. someone told me it may the ipod is older so theres another connecter i have to get. anyone have any input on this? thanks
