Hey there, I have a question for all of you who actually know about cars...

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger and for the last couple of days I noticed a squeaking noise everytime I ride over bumps or not-so-low driveways.

I do drive my truck a lot, and I do mean a lot. So I was wondering if the squeak means I need to replace the the Shock Absorbers or if its the Break Pads.

I have had my truck for about 2 years and I have never replaced any of them. Right now I am kind of a rough spot economically so I would probably be doing the work myself, if I get an idea of what is that I need to replace / lube up.

Anyway, I appreciate you reading this post and even more if you answer with some ideas..

Thank you!

Shocks or brakes? Doubtful.

More likely, control arm bushings (not a big deal) Buy a can of spray silicone lubricant and soak the rubber bushings with it.

Or ball joints (usually squeak while turning too)

It's not going to fall apart on you. Just irritate you.
