It is much cheaper operating a business or corporation in other countries. Our tax structure and our wages are way higher. Drop the Corporate taxes, and perhaps you will see some returning.
i think it is more NAFTA, and greed by corporations. why pay somebody 9.00 an hour when you can pay them 3.00 and on top of it, write off the cost.
The employers will tell you that because it's a smokescreen for their actions, businessmen are businessmen and all they're concerned with is saving money and when you can pay someone or a day as opposed to 10 or 15 dollars an hour that's what they do, who cares if you destroy the country. Jeff Imelt, the CEO of GE finally saw the error of trying to build a vibrant economy and country by doing financial engineering, a opposed to actual engineering and innovation, and stated so this past week, I can only hope others come to their senses as well.
