gaining muscle is hard to do when trying to lose weight becasue to gain muscle you need more calories and to lose weight you need less calories
you can gain while you lose weight but it wont be as much as if you were eating to gain muscle

i say get you body how you want it than change you diet to gain more muscle

(nutrition) gaining some size and losing stomach at same time...?

i know your supposed to eat at least 5 meals a day to speed up metabolism. but the question i have is if i have breakfast and dinner with a protein shake for lunch and two snacks in between. will i be able to put on muscle size while still losing my stomach? im 6 feet tall and weigh 170 lbs. i run/walk 1 mile a day 5 days a week and work out before i run.
