A family friend taught us how to make southern fried chicken (like the Americans so) however for some reason I just can't get the flavours to stick to the chicken. here are my steps:

wash the chicken piece's in vinegar, lemon and water.
Place the piece's into seasoned flour (salt, pepper, paprika)
dip them in full cream milk and then again in the seasoned flour
and then deep fried in peanut oil..

Is my process wrong can someone please help me with this as the family friend does not like repeating herself esp about her food.LOL
