programming virgin mobile phone! Help Me Error Message!!!?

When i try to program my virgin mobile phone it comes up with an error message. I have the phone activated, and am on the last step whihc is programming i follwed al of the instructions, but the error message comes up. The signal is good, but it won't work!!!!!!! I dont know if it ghas anything to do wiht me trying to text and make calls on it before it was activated. I have the Flare by LG on the virgin mobile pre paid phone plan
