I have a game show idea. How do I pitch this idea to a television network?

I have had this concept for about a year now. I have a tangible set made, a set of rules, and have played this with my family several times. How do I go about trying to pitch the idea to a network? Does it need to be copyrighted? Thanks for any help received.
