    "When push comes to shove nutrition takes a back seat to money"?

    Can someone please tell me what this quote means to you because im very confused i just need some opinions and ideas please

    ps. it is in an article called "Noontime Nutrition"

    Taking a back seat means it comes second. What that statement says means people will buy somehting cheap over something that's healthy (because it's more expensive). Which is understandable. I would like ot eat healthier, but many times can't afford to.
