The black monkey, white room, green banana riddle?

A sub I had for English the other day asked our class a riddle about a baby black money in a plain white windowless room, with a green banana suspended in the middle of the ceiling by a short string, the ceiling is 10ft tall and there is nothing in the room, but the monkey gets the banana. I tried to find the answer to this online but i can't find it, has anyone heard this riddle and knows the answer?

Never heard of it, but I think that the ceiling is only 10 feet tall. The riddle didn't say anything about the distance between the ceiling and the walls. So the baby monkey could of just took it from the string.

The baby monkey just grabbed it from the string. You never said how long the string was. Maybe it went all the way down to the ground.
