sounds like the throttle body reequires to be cleaned
and the basic settings to carried out on it aswell,
generally done as part of a full service

Why does my car's idle speed falter at times and then stall?
Usually after driving a straight stretch of road at 50-60 mph then coming to a red light the RPMs drop from 9 - 1100 to 4-500 and then if I don't rev it a bit the car will stall. No problem ever restarting it. It's a 95 Nissan. Doesn't occur on a consistent basis though.
