We live in maple grove, 35 minutes away. We made a slight right onto I 494 when “it” happened. I saw a plane flying very low, about 300 ft high, with a lot of smoke and something crashed into the car. It was the winglet of a jet green plane. We pulled over. I heard on the radio, “Just in breaking news, an plane has just crashed in Eagle Lake, all flights into Minneapolis canceled, departures still on schedule. I could not tell mom, because when our bus was late because of the crash, she drove to Chicago. Mom, dad, and America were going back into the car when I changed the station.

Chevy Chase made a several "Vacation" movies where just about everything went wrong.
