    they are in shock and probably dying. If you still have the reciept you can take them back and get new ones.

    what kind of water did you use and what temp? if you didn't use proper water and temp thats likely causing this to happen. doesn't sound like its going to be a good outcome.

    you have to get the chemicals out of the water first! you killed them! tap water has something in it that if you let it sit for 24 hours will evaporate but if not then it kills the fish! oooops!

    The change of the water temperature might of put their body's in shock.....

    Probably that they didn't get to much food in their system or died of a panic attack on being in a new place.
