He has to pay the tickets. Fines and things like that follow the lisence holder, not the car. You should make sure that you get the lisence for the car under your name to avoid issues.

My Uncle gave me his old car...?
My Uncle recently gave me his old car, It has un-paid tickets. So i was wondering do i have to pay for those tickets? Or since he was the current owner of the car when the tickets were made would he still be held responsible for paying those tickets or me?. -Thanks
