    is it possible to trade-in my car to private dealer without paying any $$?

    i have a 04 corolla and want to trade a 01-03 rav4, is it possible to pay nothing to trade? its a private dealer....if i need to pay something what is it?? is there any kind of "transcation fee"?? tax fee?

    You will have to pay tax on it no matter what and the dealer will set that up for you, you would have to pay this at the DMV later anyway is you got it private party. I'm sure there will also be other fees they charge I just got a car from a private dealer and there was a lot of fees but most of it is because they get it registered and smoged for you, but the tax is the big one.
