Alright Friend is starting rumors how do i get it to stop?

Hi, I was at a dance with some friends and there was this guy that was with us well my other friend and I were talking badly about him and well our best friend brought him and I said some things I didn't mean and my friend who I was talking to told my other friend what I had said and twisted it. Now my friend won't talk to me and I'm really irritated. Noone else knew until the friend that brought the guy started telling everyone and now she's telling my friends that she is going to have her parents call my parents what do I do to get it to stop?

I already apologized and I don't want my parents to find out.

Let some time pass, back off alittle, the next big tragedy will come along in your young little life, and your wrong doing will be forgotten.Its the cycle of kids being mean and cruel to each other, just apologize ,dont do it again.
