I recently bought an Xbox 360 controller at a video game store. The receipt says "all sales are final." I opened the package, but I really would like a return on this item because I recently had to give up my game system and thus, I would not need this controller at all. I still have the original packaging and receipt.

Is there anything (legal or otherwise) that I could say to the video game people to persuade them to give me a refund despite their policy on every single thing, even though what I bought was brand-new? Thanks.

By the way, I bought the controller a week ago.
