Why isn't an Xvid video working?

I have downloaded a torrent of a vidoeo that is a Xvid format. I downloaded a player (Bs Player) but when i go to play it, it says 'Can't open file' I have also downloaded the codecs thing. WTF must i do?

If aint working out, then mostly while downloading the file something might have happened to it !!!!
In some case's the torrent you download is crap, just go back and check the place where you downloaded the torrent file from, and read other people's suggestions..
Some time's the torrent file is fake.
Any ways hope all turns out well..
