download speeds are really slow?

great! i finally got to the "downloading and installing" screen on the original WoW installer. one problem. im getting about 40kb a second! i have noticed slow download speeds for the past few days (it has been worse) and now im wondering what the problem would be.

i have a wireless connection and i do admit im getting a feeling that that is the issue

Not enough info, i have DSL, and i get 80kb/s max(100kb/s is the actually max, but the speed depends on your location relative to the next station...thing. Assuming you have DSL, some other program might to using the internet, like automatically downloading something or updating.
