what computer should i get?

I am 13 and my parents are going to buy me a computer.I will be doing music, video and picture editing.I will also be doing school reports and other homework on it.I will be using the internet too.so are there any you recommend and it could be a desktop or laptop
 
a laptop. Preferably a mac, but for your school work something like a dell would be fine.
 
okay well for a desktop get a gateway its really cool and it edits good and shit. but if ur parents are willing to get you a relly expensive computer then go for the imac computers they let you take all diffrent kinds of cool pictures and basically it has everything u need on it!! or for a laptop get a toshiba there good 2!

unless u are using an adobe cs or something else high end like that u dont need a really fast computer. if u are using cs i would get a quad-core machine.
