Why is my Wireless Internet slow?

I have a laptop and an xbox 360 with xbox live, it works and i can sign in, but when i try to chat with friends and when i get online i cant understand my friends and i have trouble watching live feeds and stuff like that.

Due to any of the following reasons , internet gets slow down :

heavy traffic

Network overloaded

I would like to share some tips to increase download speed here :

1. Make sure that your downloading file is smaller

2. Close the unwanted programs

3. If you download larger files from the internet , you have to wait until it gets downloaded successfully . After that, you can download other files or it gets stuck up .
