What sport bike would be best for me to start off on?

I been riding dirtbikes for fun all my life. mostly for fun but now i'm looking to take my riding on the street. i've been lookin into this for a while now but i'm looking for advice from people who were in my situation. i like the cbr1000r but my friends say its to big and to heavy for my first bike. the cbr600r is another good bike i love honda. well give me and suggestions feel free to tell me whats on your mind. i'm up for anything even if you think of a different type of bike. just please help me out!

I have also been riding dirtbikes my whole life and i a 6 year old gsxr 600 as my first bike. a good one if your just starting out is a ninja 250. but if you know how to ride get a 600 its light and powerful for a bike. I have a ZX6R right now and it can get up to the high 140's but i dnt want to go faster
