Old post, but found this one which works for future reference...
Its for a different phone, but worked perfectly on the SGH-B130....only for one thing: to be able to slide in the card on this phone to follow the steps, you need to take out the battery which wont work....I used tape to catch the card and pulled it in gently, making sure the battery stayed in place!

I got my SGH-B130 unlocked by the following method:
- Set Date to a year after sim lock is swiched off
- switch off the phone
- exchange the cards
- Set Date back and be happy
BTW the above checking method verified the unlocked status

I unlocked My Samsung B130 model mobile Yesterday using the Very low cost unlock code purchased from here Wicked Unlock.com - Unlocking the Samsung B130 mobile phone followed the Free Unlocking Instructions there and Unlocked my samsung B130 from Vodafone network Australia.
you need to put the sim card very carfull after you switch the phone on...also if you have a pin request on the sim the phone will block...
so reed the instarution from above carfuly :emot2:
I followed all the steps, even verified it with the last set of code to check if everything is unlocked. It just displays for LIMITED SERVICE and EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY when I use other SIM cards. It works fine with the old SIM. I also noticed that I cannot select the Network Manually, it gives an error of NOT ALLOWED. Any Suggestions?
