My parked car got hit by a flatbed truck from Maine. Info is left but I don't...

...understand it? I just found out today that the car I parked just got hit really bad in the rear bumper. I don't think it's repairable and probably needs to be replaced. The person, I assume left his info. It goes as "Flat Bed Lic. Maine 1275776 and I.D. # Q52557" I do not know what this info is unfortunately and I would like to know if this is any relevant info. I would like to know if I should contact my insurance company or If I should resolve this with him. I am from New York City and I am hoping if anyone from around Maine or someone who has any knowledge can help me. I am really feeling down from this and I appreciate any help I receive. Thanks.
