Good sound system for my car...help or suggestions?

I really have no idea what is good and bad in the world of car sound systems, so I am looking for a little help

I have a jeep cherokee classic, a midsize SUV, if that plays in at all? I am looking for a good sound system with clear sound and killer bass

I don't have any idea what that involves getting and all that, but some suggestions or pricing ideas would be appreciated!
