So there's a guy I've been interested in for a while, and I really had a gut feeling that he didn't see me that way but a mutual friend of ours insisted that he did. He showed me some texts between them, one of them where my friend asked him if he wanted to date me, and he replied, "I guess. I mean I'm not trying to force the issue."
Today, I decided the only way to know for sure if he has feelings for me is to ask him. So I did. I said, "hey so my friend told me you like me. Is it true?" And he said, "I've never been real big on relationships and stuff like that. I like to get to know people before I "like" them if you know what I mean".

So I guess my question is, what does he really mean by that? If it's specifically ME he's not interested in, why can't he just say so? Or is it just that he isn't experienced in relationships? I don't get it.
