I just canceled Direct TV and am looking for something cheaper. I called someone who is offering a satellite system called "Free To Air," do you recommend it for I have never heard of it. It sounds too good to be true. For all the equipment and labor, I must pay $350 one time only. There are no monthly payments.

Free to Air systems only receive free to air channels.
There are no monthly payments because the channels are free, but those are just international, religious and some news and local channels. These are perfectly legal. For example, aljazeera english is free.

Any system that intercepts commercial signal is illegal and carries a felony charge of 10 years and over $100,000 in fines, for just the basic act. Because its satellite, it carries even stiffer penalties.
