Will i really have to do 3-5 yrs on a fta warrant in illinoise misdemenor possession. My fine was 1000 and should i get a lawyer

If you are in doubt, seek a pro-bono. Otherwise contact the county and work with them to see what you need to do. Worst thing you can do is have NO communication with them. Not sure what a FTA is though. Do your due diligence as an adult, and get it figured out before they send you to jail. The more compliant you are, the more benefit you will get. Just not in this case, but everyday things that come our way.
