How to Program a Captive Works 700s FTA Receiver ?
We just purchased 2 receivers today and we would like to know what is the best site to go to for the latest files and if someone could give us step by step instructions on how to program the receivers

PS- I am a little technically inclined LOL
I have a laptop with a usb serial converter to use with the receivers and i also have 2 usb flash drives
1 for each receiver
the captive works 700 which i have is very easy to program. Download and Unzip latest bin file.
Transfer unzipped file onto USB stick then plug it into the box. You should see a message that says USB ready. Now press the USB button on remote and then scroll to the right to open the Software tab. Look for new file and press OK to load it. After it loads, it will ask you if you want to reboot, say YES. when it it rebooting take the usb back out. wait for a few minutes for the new bin to roll. then watch tv. make sure whatever youare connected to(dn or bell) that the auto roll is on for it.to check if its on go to menu-system setting-osd-autoroll on(at the bottom of list). here is a link to the best and fastest site that i know of to get the latest fixes.183 is the currest working bin.(for bell anyway). you may need to register for this site but it is free and oly takes a minute. good luck.great purchase
