coolsat 5000 is a good receiver. it is not very well supported at the moment.now....after you set up your dish , as in aiming it where you want, when you set up your stb accordingly to match the signal.example, dish aimed at bell, you need to set the stb up to receive bell signal. then you need to do a channel scan. i own one, i am trying to think, its in menu, installation.when the dish and stb match satellites then just go to bottom and do a scan, you must make sure you have a good signal. if you have a no or bad signal, it will pick up none or very few stations. need more info email me. btw that guy on top of me is full of shit, why people answer questions they know nothing about is beyond me.now if you actually get the channels but you mean they are saying scrambled or something then you need a new bin file. which unfortuneately are hard to come by on a coolsat 5000. i hope you did not just buy this unit. if you did im afraid you likely got ripped.
