Thread: Samsung Omnia. Anybody have 1 with Verizon?

My husband has been looking into these, and hints every now & then that he'd really like one. So I'm just shopping while he is sleeping I want to know if you have to get internet to text like with a Blackberry.

the samsung omnia is considered a smart phone. so the data plan will be required .. yea its expensive i know but its worth it cause u get unlimited internet access . u can go to myspace,youtube etc. o but if u want a texts u will have to get a texting plan. its not required like the internet plan its optional. so its up to u. but ima repeat it again internet plan is required no matter what or else they will not sell u the phone =)

I have one... and is not a bad phone... it has a great camera and i used windows mobile 6.5... you have to extra which is required for the data plan... like the iphone and blackberrys... if i were u i would wait cause i heard that omnia 2 is coming out soon

$40 350 minutes?
$20 unlimited text
$30 Data plan (you're forced to add this)
$7 Insurance
?? Tax + misc charges

All this is Per Month charges for this smart phone....If I have to do it again...I'll get the Iphone. But this phone is still awesome!!!
