I have a Samsung DLP that is cutting off randomly. It makes the noise when you cut the tv off or on and then goes black and the lamp/standby and power buttons blink. I can cut it back on when they stop blinking. This has happened probably 20 times in the last month but it is very random. Sometimes it is on 15 minutes and cuts off and other times it is on for hours or more before it cuts off. The lamp has 3048 hours on it according to the service menu.

You might google aSamsung website and search for troubleshooting+DLPHS5086.
That is a good place to start. I use that method for many things that ca't or don't get answered completely with Yahoo! Answers. Good Luck!
